Mass Effect Multiplayer Was "Too Complicated" to Include in Legendary Edition

While the franchise is known for its storytelling, the Mass Effect serial' multiplayer had a minor but loyal post-obit. Introduced inMass Effect three, fans of the serial take been wondering if the multiplayer component will render for the upcoming Legendary Edition. With the collection's release in May, BioWare has confirmed that multiplayer will indeed be cut to brand room for the collection's larger features and new additions.

In an interview withGame Informer, BioWare's Kevin Meek and Mac Walters gave more than insight into the upcomingMass Event Legendary Edition. Specifically, they touched on the fact thatMass Effect 3's multiplayer won't return for the remastered collection and explained why.

Meek feels that the evolution team accept "called the things that are what the bulk of our fans were well-nigh passionate most." On multiplayer, he added that it would take been "really difficult" to accept the functionality and logistics lined upwardly for launch. Additionally, he explained that the studio too would accept had to overcome notable hurdles such equally post-launch support, and whether to characteristic cantankerous-platform play with past iterations of the game.

Based on their comments, information technology seems sensible that BioWare wouldn't have dedicated the resource to a relatively niche feature. Though some fans will likely be bummed, theLegendary Edition will nonetheless offer an appealing package for players.
